The camp ground is in a separate area from where the bow
hunters should be. However, we will be out on some field

Tribulation.
FAQ:
How to stay clean?
This is good question that comes up a lot. The first
answer is to imagine what human life was like before the
20th century with all of its tubs and showers; Imagine
even further back when we walked for miles with no water
in sight. What did we do? I don't know, but bring baby
wipes. LOL.
Where to get
water?
There is a creek close by. The water looks clear and
cold. Bring jugs or other containers. One suggestion:
An additional cooler for the purpose of water storage
only. Fill it with ice at the store, then, once its
location is set, fill it with water from the creek. Use
the spigot at the bottom for water flow. Eventually the
water will warm, but one or two people should be supplied
with drinking and cooking water for the entire week.
Registration
deadline:
Please be registered by Sunday, September 19, 2010.
Can we bring
firearms?
Yes. Firearms are allowed in the Conservation Area.
Do we need to
bring own firewood?
Yes. Cutting trees or branches and gathering wood is not
allowed in the Conservation Area.
Cooking &
Campfires:
Camping area has 4 fire rings and 4 picnic tables.
The fire rings are large. It will be necessary to share
these, so you might want to bring a hibachi, grill or
other method for cooking at your own campsite. It is not
permitted to build an additional fire ring in the
Conservation Area. Again, come prepared with firewood
that can be shared among the 4 fire rings and for cooking
at your own camp site.
Fishing:
For the fisherman among us, fishing is allowed.
Bring your poles and bait. Please read the regulations first.
Recordings & Cell Phones:
Please be aware that no audio, video or still recordings
(pictures) will be allowed during meetings, of camp
sites, campers or the surrounding area. This is for
security purposes and will be strictly enforced.
During meetings, no cell phones will be
allowed since all cell phones are two-way listening
devices even when turned off with the battery removed.
Will there
be an emergency phone number family can call while we are
in the camp as I do not think my cell phone will remain
charged all week and might not get good enough reception
anyway?
Family members can
call 417-849-7991 or 417-849-1911 to reach family
members.
What is
the dress code? Are shorts okay?
Yes, modest shorts
are ok.
Headcovering
for women at all times or just on Shabbat?
Headcoverings are
not required for men or women at anytime. You may wear
them whenever you wish.
What size
are the individual campsites as we have a couple of tents
we would like to pitch?
The camping area is
not laid out in campsites, per se. You will be able to
pitch your tent just about anywhere you want to within
the designated area. Remember there are only a few
campfire rings, so it might be necessary to space our
setups so that we can share campfires with others.
Will you
send along a detailed map of how to find our group within
the park?
Yes. Click
here.

Did I
understand correctly that there are latrines?
Yes. Two of them.
Flush-type
or outhouse holes in the ground?
Holes with little
buildings built around them.
Do we need
to bring our own toilet paper?
Yes.
Are there
sinks in the latrines?
No. You will need
to bring soap and water or hand sanitizer.
