The Appointed Times

In Bro. Lynn's Blog, Feasts | on September, 19, 2020 | by

This is by no means even close to an explanation to these days. It is an observation in conjunction with the Appointed Times.

First, these Appointed Times are not “Jewish”, they are God’s. They were established before any human existed on the 4th day of Creation. The first Jew came along 1,948 years later.

God officially made known, in a written document, that these appointments were to be preserved and honored for all time to the Jewish people at Mt. Sinai. They were to preserve and distribute that knowledge to all people throughout the ages so that all people could have the opportunity to return to the God who created them.

In each of these Moedim (Appointed Times) there is the plan of Redemption, the seasons of expectation, and the rehearsal of the good things found in Messiah Yeshua.

Biblically, this is known by other names.
• Rosh Hashanah, the head of the year, is the anniversary of the day of creation.
• Yom Teruah, the Day of the Awakening Blast,- the Last Trump, the resurrection of the dead and the “rapture”.
• It is called Yom HaKeseh, the “Hidden Day” as its appearance is like the New Moon which appears suddenly, like a thief in the night.
• Yom HaDin, the Day of Judgment, as well as other themes and titles as satellites orbiting the seasons.

Each of these titles carries immense importance in our relationship with God and the plan of Salvation, and all future prophecies. Yeshua (Jesus) kept and fulfilled the first 3 of these 7 appointments in Leviticus 23 perfectly in his first coming. The latter 4 appointments will be kept perfectly in his return as King and Ruler of the Earth.

Leviticus 23 is a calendar of events that will happen regardless of man’s desires to recognize and honor them or not.

From Genesis to Revelation these dates are fully intertwined in Creation, the Law, the Prophets, the person of Jesus, the disciples and apostles, and the End of Days.

The fact that so many in the modern church have no clue about them, or desire to follow them, in many cases, proves the scripture is true ” the thief comes to steal, to kill, and destroy”. A thief only steals articles of value. These have been stolen from the people of God today. Pastors teach without knowledge of them, many times in error or so shallow in depth the people never receive rich spiritual nutrition.

“Prophecy teachers” who have no understanding of them are simply belching out words to create a following. And in this the thief has succeeded. He has stolen the precious path of the Way, and Gods people wander aimlessly about in the world.

It is time for the “church” to demand their rightful possessions in Christ.
